Fabric care

Textile Care Recommendations

To keep «FD Company» products fresh and beautiful for many seasons, they need to be cared for properly.

It is always good to remember those products:

  • complicated styles;
  • with fringes;
  • with many scallops;
  • with decorative details;
  • brightly colored;

Wash very carefully, hand washes only. In the first wash the fabric can shed, please be aware of this.

Fringe

Threads with a continuous row of soft, free-hanging threads at one edge. Hand-wash only. After washing, do not wring out, but let it drain naturally. An effective remedy against unraveling fringes is a colorless stone glue or colorless manicure nail polish. The tips treated with it become like needles. It is better to so treat a new fringe or before the washing process itself, and there will be no problem with unraveling the fringe.

Biflex

Biflex can be washed by hand or in a washing machine in the "gentle wash" setting. The washing temperature should not exceed 30 degrees. Washing is recommended to use liquid, mild detergents, it is strictly prohibited of the use of bleaching agents. Spinning your garment by hand only, and ironing as needed with a lightly heated iron. It is strictly forbidden to dry the fabrics on heaters and radiators, as the fabric loses all its characteristics after being stretched.

Velour

Velour fabrics can be washed in the washing machine at 30 degrees centigrade. As with any "fuzzy" material, it is better not to expose velour to high temperatures. Choose a mild detergent for colored fabrics or special shampoos for tufted fabrics. Never use anything that contains whitening agents when taking care of velour. Such a fabric perfectly retains its shape and does not crumple, and therefore it is not recommended to iron it at all - and if you do iron it, then from the wrong side. If a fabric has a spot, it can be removed with an eraser without soaking.

Gabardine

When washing, turn the garment inside out. Do not spin in a washing machine, it is better to do it by hand and without effort. The water drains well by itself when drying. It is best to dry the items in the air in a shady area, pre-shape, and straighten them. Ironing of gabardine clothes - an easy task, the material is perfectly smooth, but it is important to use a wet piece of gauze or fabric, and iron only from the back. This is to prevent the fabric from shining.

Guipure

Some guipure can be machine washed where the lace elements are close together or woven together by dense threads. It is a good idea to use a delicate washing program. If the embossed pattern occupies 10-60% of the connective grid, the fabric and items made of it should be washed by hand. Do not use a spin. A temperature of 30-40 degrees is enough to wash the thing, but not to damage the structure of the fabric. Washing in liquid, mild detergents is recommended. Dry in the shade, avoiding direct sunlight. It is better to lay the product on a terry towel, and not to hang it on the dryer. Iron your guipure on the reverse side of your garment at a temperature no higher than 110 degrees. This setting corresponds to the "silk" mark on the regulator. It is recommended to iron through a damp cloth or with a humidifier. To avoid damaging the mesh, you should move the iron constantly and not hold it in one position.

Crepe-diving and micro-diving

The fabric is easily hand-washed in warm water at - 30 degrees. Machine washable on gentle cycle, no spin cycle. Liquid detergents are used for washing, no bleach should be used. The fabric must be thoroughly rinsed. Wet items must not be rubbed intensively, twisted, or wrung out, it will destroy the fabric structure. Dry your garment naturally in the shade, away from heaters. Fabrics should not be ironed.

Mesh

The normal mesh is washed in the washing machine with normal powders. The exception is velour-printed netting - it claims to be hand-washed, not in a washing machine. A printed mesh can be washed in a washing machine, in the delicate mode, with a manual spin.

Stretch knitwear

Hot water can ruin this fabric. You can wash products by hand or in a washing machine, in a delicate mode, at a temperature not exceeding 40 degrees, using liquid detergents. A gentle spin and drying at room temperature will maintain the appearance of synthetic fabrics. Some synthetics do not need to be ironed at all, drying on the shoulders is enough. Others can be ironed on the wrong side of the garment at a maximum temperature of 110 degrees Celsius in silk condition.

Fatin

Very stiff material and does not absorb moisture. If there are many layers of fabric, the breathability is greatly reduced. The fabric is washed in warm water at 40 degrees Celsius using a soft gel, preferably hand-washed. Water is allowed to drain, then shaken, straightened, and dried. Iron the tulle at minimum heat - 100 degrees, through a thick cloth.

Chiffon and crepe-chiffon

Hand washes, with mild detergent, in the water at a maximum of 30 degrees. Dry on the shoulders or when unfolded and out of direct sunlight. Iron chiffon at a minimum heat of 100 degrees, without using a spray gun or steam.

Soft and jersey ribs

Exclusively hand wash, water temperature not higher than 30 degrees, it is recommended to use liquid detergents for washing. It is necessary to dry products from software on hangers, and products from knitwear in a rib unfolded. Iron at minimum heat no higher than 110 degrees, in the mode for silk fabrics.
